I bought red ramshorns and brown ramshorns and one of their babies has turned out to be a leopard ramshorn :dance:

I just check one of my planted tanks and found a ramshorn munching on algae..must have come in on a plant..months ago. it's a brown one.
I'd never seen one when it was grazing I had to check to make sure they were safe for my plants..

I will post some in the morning though I doubt I'll be able to get a good one of the leopard cos he's still a bit small.

Yay I found the parent snail that seems to be carrying the leopard gene:dance2: So now I've moved it and a couple others with traits I want to breed into the breeding tank.
thats pretty cool, but you probley shouldnt keep brown and red together or any other colors for that matter. why? becuz usualy its careless keeping of them and breeding of them, thats the reason why red/blue snails are so rare theses days becuz back when there where lots of them people mixed them with brown and they bred and lost color, there was no true red or blue snails left almost. i dont wanna sound like a snail nazi lol, but its just something to think about. but i dont mind really cuz if you do it just means less people with ture reds witch = more money for me
