Heres an odd one for you guys, I peered into my 20L nano reef this morning to check on muppet (mah blenny) and on top of a rock is a dead hermit crabby without it's shell.... so I count my hermits and they're all boppin around like they should be.... Now I start thinking... one molted....
no no, its a hermit... theres stuff in there, definately not a molt... I remove it and get on with the day... it's driving me nuts
where did it come from? any ideas? I havent added anything to the tank since the Blenny and a green plate a few weeks ago and I definately did not count an extra crab then.... and oddly, where did his shell go if he even had one? Is it possible he hitched in on a chunk of live rock and hid until last night? Did one molt and I'm just a big goofball?
