I posted my original tank specs 6 months ago but now that everything is up and going and im started on my 2nd tank i thought id through in an update and some new questions.

My first tank is

29 gal
65 watt light
heavily planted

1 Black Molly
1 White Molly
2 Neon Tetras
2 Saes
2 Gold Guaramie
2 Sword Tails
1 Clown loach
1 Rainbow shark
1 Blue Ram

been set up for about 6 months now and everything is doing great, very happy with my 1st tank.

I thought that as some of those fish started getting bigger i might bennefit to move them to another tank so i set up a 20 gal. I recently realized that i have a pregnant Sword tail. so i figured i would let her have her babies in the 20 gal. Is this gonna be too big of a tank for the littly fry?. ANy tips that anyone can give would be helpful ive read some water conditions etc but no real first hand tips. is there anything else i can have in the tank, other then plants, that wont bother the fry? I was thinking ghost shrimp to help with algae etc., tanks been going for a few weeks with plants etc. need to get a better light but waiting for some cash flow so i can upgrade the 30 gal and use the 30 gal light on the 20 gal so i'll have 2.5-3 wats per gal on each tank.

Again thanks for listening, any tips would be helpful

No its not too big. You will have about 30 to 60 babies lol. Put ups some floating plants or just float some plants on the top until your ready to plant it.
Some ghost shrimp will do just fine. You will have to remove momma after the birth, because in my experience, they will eat half the fry until they have no room for more!

Well, not 5 hours after i put the female in the 20 gallon i walk by and swear i saw a little tadpole looking thing, couldnt believe it. Then we watched her give birth for about 20-30 min to about 30 fry, id say 25 survived, saw her eat a few for sure. Well see in a few weeks when they get a little bigger. =).

Wish me luck

YAY!
I'm so happy for you.
I wish you lots of luck!!!

caltus,
imo the clown loach should have at least about four shipmates. they are hugely social....ciao.
