Read what a person writes before responding

a problem that i have noticed is people reply to the first post even though were on like page 20 and didnt know that the original poster has changed any questions, comments etc.

Wasn't this website started on account most people don't know the proper way to care for fish when they have never started a tank before.....I know from having fish tanks in the past that everything is so very different today....All of us newbies are still learning about how to do things right for our fish tanks. The majority of the threads that I have read, people ask simple (or not too simple) questions and alot of others put in their opinions and what the original poster should do or shouldn't do.....and the ONE person posting a reply treats the newbie like he/she is totally stupid....and like it is said in the very first post people need to read before they submit a reply....and I also read back responses that people have posted to me and the majority of the time the replies are nice sounding as to where others are kind of rude.....I still learn from others experiences and so will others, but the newbie does not have to be treated like an idiot....I think it was plah831 back in 8/06 who said:::::I'd just like to clarify that it's still OK to ask "stupid" questions (there are no stupid questions), as long as you can justify it. One-line posts with no background information or explanation as to why you asked, are more likely to result in "bashing" as it seems the poster is not serious. :) '''''''and I agree with that 100%...there may be times the newbie don't like what they read, but that is the reason for advice, the newbie can take or leave it and learn from the mistakes we make,we can decide on our own what to do with the responses....And when I feel I have a ? most of the time I will google it to see what pops up because I don't want to be judged as an idiot....for I am far from that.......and so are all the newbies who join this forum....

That is why all the Mods who came up with this site put GCC here......
