okay i have a dilema- i've been trying to save money b/c i've only been out of school for 6 months . . . but

my LFS has a used oceanic 63 gallon with heater- ehiem wet-dry and another canister filter(can't recall the name but it was about $175 new) it comes with the stand and the hood and gravel all of it for $398

i have nowhere to put it right now except in the basement, but i'm thinking it is a good investment and i should snap it up and store it until i can use it

what do you think?

sounds like a good deal..but keep in mind there are good deals out there pretty often.

I picked up a custom made 75 gallon with hood, stand. wet/dry sump and tons of extras..including extra deco heaters air pumps etc..etc for $400

so ask yourself if you can afford it then make the decision..

you're right good deals come around fairly often and it's smaller than i'd like for my next large tank.

thanks it's that sort of logic i needed to hear

ebays too expensive.

?

I could have sworn e-bay was an auction site...

not a good deal? buying all of that new is over $1200 and there's nothing wrong with used equipment as a whole- easy to sanatize before you put it in use

that is a good deal..but like I said those deals come around fairlyoften.

save your money..and wait..

oh and there is nothing wrong with used equiptment..so far I have a used 55 with stand hood and most of the equiptment $200 and the custom 75 ,with everything and enough spare parts to get another tank going( if I get the tank...LOL) that was $400, the wet dry sump set up is nearly $300 at the LFS

the tank and parts can be sanitized..

LOL

Good deals ALWAYS come around. Be smart, be frugal, save your money, when you have the room and money get it.
