recommendation for calcium

CaSO4(gypsum see agriculture supplies))
Ca(NO3)2 if you need a little Ca and need to add NO3
CaCl2 Calcium chloride- deicer, pool calcium hardness increaser, air dyer media, etc,
.......all are much easier to dissolve than CaCO3

Also, SeaChem Eqilibrium will add some(via CaSO4)

You should be able to find gypsum there cheaply.

Thanks for all the help guys

i rang around today and couldnt find de-icer (i think our city isnt cold enough for that product) but i did find CaSO4 so i'm going to give that a go
