I'm looking for some input on the minimum size tank to keep a single specimen of Red Bay Snook healthy. I want to find a balance between keeping the fish healthy but at the same time, keeping the weight and dimensions very reasonable. Ideally, the tank would be less than 5' long. Also, the price of tanks start to really increase sharply past the 55-75 gallon range.
These fishes are supposed to be able to reach a maximum size of 18". The folks at the pet shop tell me that is very rare to get one to grow that size. A foot is the more likely or average.
Thanks
