Hello all,

Ok so my red ear slider woke up at work today with its eyes wide shut, no one bothered to care for it so I brought it home and is in a quarintine tank. I read online to feed it 8 in 1 bird vitamins because it might be a sign of Vitamin A deficiancy so i bought him some of that as well as zoo meds drops for turtles.

1st Question: What should the water temp be?
2nd: How much 8 in 1 do i make it ingest per day or hour?
3rd: foods for it to eat?

I know this site is for fish any info would help?

It does sound like your turtle has a Vitamin A deficiancy. Use those Zoomed drops 2-3 times a day and try feeding some foods that have lots of vitamin A like chopped carrots, yellow squash and zucchini and see if this helps. You can also feed earthworms and frozen shrimp. Also raise the water temp to around 80˚F. I would also read up on the link provided above. Good luck. :)
