I'm doing some research on the RRF that I just received today in the mail.
I got quite a hearty amount.
I only put it in my 10 gallon betta tank and my 20 long planted tank.
But I'm wondering if I could also put some in my 40 breeder.
Do you think I've put too much in the 20 & 10???
I'm reading that it's a hearty plant, thrives well and can "over run" your tank, as most floating plants seem to do. (from what I've read)
I read somewhere on here that a stem with only a few leaves on it will grow well in a few weeks.

Here are shots of it in each tank.

since its bigger you can quickly remove extra if you want. only time its too much is if its blocking the light bellow for the other plants.

Thanks for the response. I ended up putting some in my 40 and my larger female severum started to eat it. I don't know if thats a horrible thing or not. But none of my other fish seemed the least bit interested in eating it. They "played" in it, even my bichir. He was poking his head in and out of it. Lol.

I like that stuff. I'm adding it to my list of stuff I want to get. I can't wait for this winter storm to blow over so I can go buy some more fish supplies.

I like it too. I hope I can get it to stay nice and grow well. I'm sure I'll end up having to get rid of some of it in the future. Lol

well at least you know how to get rid of the extras. my poly hasnt bothered a single plant of mine.

So it's ok if she eats some of it?? I don't want it to make her sick or anything. My bichir seems to like it :) I hope to get some good shots of him in it.

i'd say it's fine for the sev to eat it. they are known for eating plants.

Good to see you got the plants on time.
Believe me you dont have to worry about having too much of it in the tank. I had my 55g covered entirely with it, so much of it so that it began to grow vertically..

Just make sure to give it light and have a tank thats more on the mature side/has nutrients. It will grow quick, turn red/pink and get more roots.

Enjoy
