regular and variant red tigers. Whats the difference?

I heard variant red tigers look better than regular.. How can I compare and tell the difference?

you're talking about P. motaguensis, right?

here's my pair of red tiger:

the regular, or gold morph, is less colorful. I can't find any pics of them, but the coloration is more along the lines of P. loisselei and P. friedrichstahlii. I think they're a little less common, probably due to most people preferring the red tiger morph.
