removing silicone from glass/acrylic

so i was breaking down an old 20g to convert into a sump for my 50g planted tank. I discovered that Mr. Clean magic erasers take off the old silicone pretty easily. buy a couple though if you try this as it tends to chew through them pretty quick.
Just thought i'd share this with ya'll. Might make someone life easier.

Magic erases are amazing! Razor blades work well too

lol well i wouldnt use them in an up and running aquarium, but like i said works great for removing old silicone on a patch job or during a sump/wetdry filter build.

Thank you for that bit of information. I've had problems with razor blades, so hopefully this will work.

Don't use one on an acrylic tank either. Magic Eraser is basically like an extremely fine grit sand paper.
