removing silicone from glass/acrylic

so i was breaking down an old 20g to convert into a sump for my 50g planted tank. I discovered that Mr. Clean magic erasers take off the old silicone pretty easily. buy a couple though if you try this as it tends to chew through them pretty quick.
Just thought i'd share this with ya'll. Might make someone life easier.
 
lol well i wouldnt use them in an up and running aquarium, but like i said works great for removing old silicone on a patch job or during a sump/wetdry filter build.
 
Thank you for that bit of information. I've had problems with razor blades, so hopefully this will work.
