Hi, everyone:

I recently acquired a Rena Filstar xP2 with the tank I bought off of craigslist. The hosing that came with it appears to be rather covered in algae (though it's been dry for awhile). Is there a way to clean this, or should I just buy some new hosing?

Thanks!

Cheers,

-zt.

what I usually do to clean pipes:

  1. Take a piece of pot scrubbing pad, cut and roll it into a plug that fit into the pipe.
  2. Push it inside the pipe
  3. Go OUTSIDE use a garden hose and "connect" the pipe to the hose. ( I just use my hand to made a "connection").
  4. The plug will get push from one end to the other, cleaning the inside of the pipe on the way.
  5. repeat step 2-4 until satisfied.

i just get a 5 gallon bucket fill with a light bleach water mix sink hoses in it and let it soak a few hours. then just rinse well and you have clean hoses.

Great, thanks guys!
