Was told by someone that it's a good idea to replace the light bulb on your marine tank every couple of years. Is this really necessary if you have a fish-only marine tank (i.e. no coral and the like)? Thanks in advance.
Not unless you are experiencing algae problems or you want to change the look of the tank. As long as the bulb still works it is fine for a Fish only tank.
