Is there any site that i can find pictures and info on freshwater aquarium fish? I dont know much about aquarium fish. I am starting to do some research on my "second try" tank and am trying to put a list together of what fish i would like to have as inhabitants.

1 gal = 3.79 L
1 inch = 2.54 cm
1 oz = 28.3 g
1.06 qt = 1 L
1 lb = 454 g
3.28 ft = 1 m

note these are just estimates out of my math book :p
These look about right. When I do conversions in my head, here's what I use:

Liter = Quart
4 Quart = Gallon
Liter/4 = Gallon (it gives you a -rough- idea, especially on smaller tanks)
Inch = 2.5 cm
foot = 30 cm
meter = 3 ft
mile = 1.5 kilometers (don't know why you'd need this for fishkeeping...maybe when running those pipes for that super tank?)

Those are nice round numbers I can do in my head and gives me a rough idea when converting metric to...what's our "American" system called again? Normal? Standard? Right? :huh:

It's a good site, but make sure you cross-reference any information you get with that site with at least two other sites.

The information on rainbow fish appears to have been taken directly from Adrian Tappin's web site. Two thumbs up for that.

Most places get min tank sizes and max length wrong. Also, make note that min tank sizes for schooling fish is for ONE fish, not a school. I don't know of any site that has actual min tanks listed for an entire school.
