Revamping

O.K. I'm revamping my 72 g. I've got flourite added to the gravel, and new lights, plants are coming on tuesday. I only have an Eheim 2026 canister. Do I need to maybe put a power head down towards the bottom to move the water some more? In the bowfront with the spray bar on one side and the intake on the other I get a barrell roll effect , but there are some "dead water" looking areas near the intake. I have looked at some planted tank pic's and it seems like most have more water movement at the bottom with the powerheads.

Any help appreciated.

Try and have no surface water movement. This helps keep CO2 in the tank. Current near the bottom should be good.
