Hello! I recently acquired a 95 gallon tank along with a Reverse Osmosis filter setup, but I'm still inexperienced with this kind of equipment. Can anyone here guide me through the installation process? Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Can you post what make/model you have? And any pictures of it?

What would you do with a RO system for freshwater tank?

We need a well-lit pic of your ro system to be of help.
In general, there should be an intake line that connects to a faucet. There should be two exit lines; one for waste water and one for purified water. You will need a holding tank (trashcan) for the purified water.
If your system is a three stage, water will likely pass through a prefilter and carbon block before passing through the ro membrane. If it is a four stage, the water will likely pass through a di chamber after the ro membrane.

A lot of planted aquariums love to use R O water. It gives a good base line for the water to grow plants also don't need water conditioner

You mean fill the entire tank with RO water and then manually add ferts/minerals/buffers to create the chemistry needed for plants and fish? Wow, that seems like a lot of work!!!

Sure it's more work than just adding tap water but it's not too difficult. I recently switched two of my shrimp tanks over to remineralized RO water. Water changes take a little testing but it's not bad once you figure things out. A TDS meter helps significantly. My first two or three times adding water I had to test the gh a few times until I got it right. Then just note the TDS you end up at and for future changes add the buffer until you hit the desired TDS.

I did not know you had to remineralize the water! I guess it will be too much work. I'll make a new thread on how help for filtration then, thanks a lot!
