Well where to begin? I've started a 10 gallon aquarium for my girlfriend. I know it's little and difficult but anyway we've been having bad luck with fish this far. Started it a month and a half ago and have had 5 salt water mollies in it. Took two out after 3 weeks and put in two common clownfish. The clowns died 3 days later and only ate the first night. I think the mollies caused a lot of stress. 5 days later after letting lifeguard sit in tank. We got two new clowns and a sixline wrasse. The next day the wrasse dies. He seemed to be sick from the beginning even at the lfs. He was sluggish and after being put in our tank he stayed at the surface on his side or laid on the sand on his side. He died today right before our eyes. He was laying down then took off like a rocket and then gently floated down to his sandy grave. I got another one today from the fish store he is doing wonderfully. Eating and really active. Now I look at my emerald crab not moving looking dead as a door nail. He fought with an asreus snail today. And now he's dead what's the deal. Sorry for the long post I thought details help.

is this a FOWLR tank or FO? give us a rundown of the equipment on the tank (ie. filters heaters etc.) and how much LR you have if any.

It's a FOWLR but I guess not cause I have inverts, right? In 10 lbs live rock, 10 lbs. Live sand, penguin 150 power filter, 15 watt submersible heater. 80.3 degrees, ph. 8.2, NH4 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 10 ppm.

2 many fish added to fast. 1 clown is a stocked 10 gallon. remove the mollies and add 1 clown and your set. BTW how did u cycle the tank? and u meant 50 watt heater right?

edit: i misread your post. your stocking waaay to fast take back all the mollies, the wrasse and keep 1 clown if thats what you would like. your cycle cant keep up with that and by reading that its been set-up for approx 6 weeks i bet your not even cycled yet. the crab probly died from all the fast stocking. did he have a place where he could get away from all the action? crabs need a place to hide

We cycled with the mollies returned them got two clowns and a wrasse then the crab died. He did have a hiding place several at that. We have now taken the clowns back and only have a wrasse. She is taking her tank down and giving it to me this week. I'm going to use it for a quarantine tank.
