Rocks
I have various types of rock in my cichlid tanks from slate to limestone to large sea shells. What I use is salt water base rock that the LFS sales for 1.99/lb to build caves. I use the flat slate pieces as well to give spawners a place to lay eggs. You cant beat the price except if you use rock you find outside. I also have a couple pieces of driftwood in as well. I know you cant get all that in a 20gal but there are plenty of different things you can use.
