Roles reversed

Our female black mollie gave birth about a week ago. At that time the male would chase her during feeding.

It seems as if the roles have reversed she is now chasing him all over the tank. He seems stressed and is hiding in a grassy plant sometimes.

Is this common for their roles to be reversed and for her to start chasing him after he was the chaser for ever????

Not uncommon, mollies aren't exactly the most peaceful fish around. They will harass fish to death if allowed to quiet often. My advice would be to separate the two with a divider or something similar.

I'd hate to have to put a divider in...Especially since right now we have about 25 fry in a breeding net which takes up a lot of room. The tank is 10 gallon. Could this really be small for 2 adult fish?
Do you think another female would help? Or just make the situation worse?

Thanks

A 10g is too small for mollies, they get pretty big and are very active fish. I personally wouldn't go for anything less than a 20g long for a trio (1m:2f).
