Rose feeders die at fast rate

When I bring my feeders home from a certan LFS the kid will put
150 in a single bag.It takes me 5 min to get home. when I do,The feeders
are all at the top of bag gasping for air. When I put them in the feeder
tank they all seem to come around and be fine at first. But HRS and DAYs
later they DIE steady. The thing that gets me its not just that they die
but three days later they are DIEing at the same rate.
The deal is the kid gives me bye one get 5 free soo i do not like
to bye enayware elts.I GUESS I Will have him put in 3 bags.

Buying feeders like that is a BAD IDEA, especially if they are dieing. Having so many in a bag is undoubtedly why they are starved of oxygen by the time they are home.

BUT- they are dieing a few days later? Uh oh. I really hope you are not feeding these ones to your fish. If you are, you are bound to get any diease that the feeders have transferring over to your fish.

What fish are you feeding them to anyways?

Most fish do not need feeders, especially store bought ones. Breed your own or dont feed them at all.

I am feeding
3 Vampire tetra TWO DIFFERENT TYPE.
1 Baracuda/fresh water
1 Needel Nose Gar
1 Tea Cup Sting Ray
1 Bolivian Snub Nose
EXC............FISH THAT EAT FISH.
Can any one tell me how to grow my own feeder fish gold fish pleas.

I hope your supplementing thier diet with other things besides feeders.

Breeding feeders will require you to set up a few tanks to do it in. Breeding guppies/mollies is a good method as they reproduce very quickly. I have a guppy breeding tank set up for my seahorses.

If you dont want to do that, then a 2-4 week minimum quarentine should be put into place on feeder fish bought from the store.
