Rosey Barbs and Angel Fish

I'm thinking about getting some rosey barbs to deal with some hair algae. I hear that they can be a bit nippy to other fish.

Do rosey barbs nip at angel fish? Please advise.

Yes, the long fins may be nipped. Not a great mix. Cherry barbs, which stay smaller and tend to be less aggressive, might be a better option--BUT, I am never in favor of adding a fish to deal with a maintenance issue. Controlling the algae by cleaning it out and removing the nutrients that are feeding it will be much better in the long run.
