I'm trying to figure out if I did a bad thing this weekend. I bought 3 rosy barbs. One is consistant color pinkish, one is pinkish on the bottom 2/3 of its body and has black on its fins, and one is gold color.

The first two were fighting visciously in the 5 gallon Q tank, whirling around and biting each other on it's sides. I swear I saw some scales fly. I have since separated them. I'm thinking the first two are male.

My question is would you put rosy barbs in with angel fish? My angels do not have veil tails, but they are lovely koi angels and I would hate to see them hurt.
I put the one in the big tank and man is he fast! Nobody seems bothered by him and he and the clown loaches kind of hang together sometimes.

Should I keep them. I had heard they were ok for community tanks but now I don't know. Is 3 ok? Add more females? males?
Help!

Well Rosy barbs get to be 4-5 inches lonmg generally, and like all barbs do best in a pack of 5 or more with more females than males. The females are generally silvery or mabey a bronzish colouring while the males are pickish. 2 males and 1 female isn't that great of an idea. They are generally peaceful but can easily be considered nippy. You will need a big tank for all your fish. I personally wouldn't keep them with angels but they shouldn't attack it if they have a large enough group.

Also I might be wrong but a Koi Angel is just a colour variation and it should have the same finnage as other angels.

Yes, the koi I have are marbled with gold on their top and blushing cheeks. They have normal angel fish finnage.
