Hi freinds !

Can I keep Rosy Barbs with plants ? Will they eat and destroy the plants ?
Also is it ok to keep a group of 8 to 10 fishes of them ?

Kindly advice...
Thanks and Regards

I currently have 6 rosy barbs in my 40 gallon breeder thats planted. I dont have a problem with the plants at all, the only problem i have is that they tend to wedge themselves between the glass and the CO2 diffuser on occasion. They are great fun to watch, just not the brightest!

Rosy Barbs rock, friend! I have a school of them myself in a planted 125 gallon. I had some in a 29 gallon and they even had fry.

another one who has had some with plants and they were fine.

My Rosy Barb's kept pulling my java ferns up, so I let the plants just float, now I can't find them anywhere (I had 2 small plants), the rest of my 55 gallon tank has silk plants.

They may pick on gentle plants like my Ambulia. They only do it if there is some algae on it. The result is naked bottom after a while.
