Rosy Red Minnows and White Cloud Minnows

I recently discoverd Long finned white cloud minnows and really like them as with most anyfish with long finns lol . At the moment I already have 5 Rosy red minnows, and I was wondering if the white clouds would school with the rosy reds instead of buying at least 5 of them

Fish of different species usually dont school together but then again i have seen some crazy things fish-wise since i started the hobby over a year ago

In that I might try getting 2 and seeing how it goes.
Though it might work out since their both in the minnow family.

Fish can generally tell...you can definitely see fish of different species that kinda similar school together (otos with loaches in my case) but it generally doesn't last long. I've had corys of different species hang out together, but mostly within their own kind.

Plus, I think it looks better if they're all the same species.

Hmm you do have a piont. I unfortunetly have a weekness for any fish with long finns lol.
I guess I might hold off then, since I dont want to over stock the tank.
Im moving my minnows into a 40 that im going to get a black moor and and fantail to house as well in the tank.

Minnows with different minnows, no. But for some unknown reason, clown loaches and tiger barbs, big yes.
