Had a small outbreak of cayno so I got a reactor and some rowaphos. Got 100ml rowa and put 1/2 in to start. The next day after adding the rowa I noticed that the skimmer wasn't pulling anything, not a drop. So I cleaned it, used hot water on the funnel and still nothing. The pump is only a month old or so, just replaced it. I thought just leave it and see. Its been 2 weeks now and nothing. I ran 1/2 the rowa for bout a week and the other 1/2 for bout a week then I removed the reactor. There has been no rowa phos in the tank for 3 days now, well today is the 3rd day. But still nothing from the skimmer. Its a cpr aquafuge. Never had a complaint about the skimmer. It worked fine for me till now.

Think I need a new skimmer?????
Could the rowaphos have something to do with it??????? :help: Thanx
 
I did rinse a little. When I filled the reator I let the brown water run into a bucket. when it came out clear i put it in the tank. About 1 gal ran through both times before i put it into the tank. I did 10agl water change and cleaned the skimmer but still nada. I also changed salt this weekend. Was using Oceanic but there is so much calcuim in it so I went with Tropic Marin. Anyway a lil off topic but.....

How long do ya think it might take to clear out OR time for a new skimmer?????
