For about a year we spent every Sunday afternoon at his bosses house with 4-6 other couples having Magic tournaments. Yes, we were SO  !!!

If someone had told me when I was 18 that, in just a few short years, I'd be spending my Sunday afternoons tapping lands to cast demons and spells, I'd have told them they were scary and geeky and to please take their pocket protector and go somewhere else, NOW!

Oh the things you'll do when you fall in love with a software engineer!

You are right!! I developed a desire to learn to play when I found out the guy I was interested in played. I got a mutual friend to start up a group, and invited myself along. It was me and the guys...:D
After we got married, we "hosted'...I either cooked for all the guys, or we'd order out and it was always Sunday evening.

so started playing again because I had so much fun writing, DMing and teaching folks how to play. I still have a group.

Aww gee, Harlock, I wish you were in the neighborhood!!! We'd love to come over and play.

I like the Final Fantasy series as well as Legend of Dragoon(please make a sequel please). I never got into the card and book types.

Anyone played the old King's Quest? Wizardry? Leisure Suit Larry (not the newer ones)? The old old old text based Adventure game that was found on a lot of really old IBM Sys36? "XYZZY!" Nothing happens.

I used to play King's Quest, I think I played all of them through V but never finished any of them. I also remember playing "Legend of Zork" which was a cheesy text game. I wouldn't be able to stand it now but it was fun at the time!

I'm still wondering about this - is it possible to win a blitzball game?

WOW. I am, like, the master of blitzball. My team is level 75+ and most of my players are level 99 (highest). I have never lost a game, including the first which was supposedly "unwinnable" according to some sources.

I had a great team built and then found out for Wakka's final overdrive I needed all of the original Besaid Aurochs so I had to re-sign them from other teams and it took forever.

The one thing I always hated about blitzball was that the animation kinda sucked. But I still play it once in awhile (and will until I have everything!!!). It's the only thing I haven't beaten in the game 100%.

Yeah it was the first BB game I was thinking of. It's been a long time since I played. Every time I even came close to winning I ended up getting my butt kicked, and I gave up eventually.

i always found the best way to win a few games was by using ronso's. it would seem that there stats are almost always high.
