Hi all,

With most all of my bundled plants, I group them together, and throw a rubber band around them... Is this bad, or restricting their growth? Can someone give me another suggestion if it is.

Best,
E

If it is a stem plant with I think it is it needs to be planted separately. Remove the rubber band (or lead weight) and use you finger to make a hole and drop one in each hole. You can put them close but give them some room for good water movement.

I have planted my stem plants in bunches. I was not sure of the best way to do it and I posed the question too. The quote is from djlen. His advice has worked well for me.

No, for better results I plant them three or so to a bunch. When I say better results I don't mean growth. They will grow well either way, but IMO, they look better in bunches.
They grow so fast and are uprooted, trimmed and replanted so often, that I don't even count stems anymore. I just pinch off the tops and replant them in bunches. Can't imagine planting individual stems. My brain, or what's left of it, would lock up.
