Ok, this weekend I had a small (but big) accident. I had a bottle of Rug Doctor Soap up in a cabinet, and somehow it sprung a leak. Well, it dripped all over the back of my 72 gallon aquarium (the tank is empty btw) Anyway, the soap dripped into the wood base of it. Will this affect the silicone? If it will, how can I clean it up? I tried to get as much as I could outta there, but I don't have anything small enough to get down in there. Any ideas??

What about using a wet-dry shop vac with the round brush tool on it? Maybe spray some water down in there to dilute the soap then vac it out? Whatever you do to clean it, I'd leak test it after it dries. It might help to call the manufacturer of the soap and see if they have any info on that too.

well, I got most of it out, I used a smashed q-tip. Thanks for that idea, I would have never thought of that. It worked

Also, could you take it outside and spray the hose against the back and just rinse whatever is left out?

I am gonna have to wait til I move to take it outside and spray it with a hose cause there is no where to do that here. I did check it for leaks though and it don't leak
