RUN DONT WALK TO YOUR LOCAL PETSMART!!!

The 2232 is a great small canister, but the filter pad clogs way too easily for this Eheim aficionado.
I highly recommend an coarse intake sponge for the entire ECCO series.

FYI the Petsmart in Culpeper, VA currently has 3 XP1's and 1 XP4 in stock. None of those work for me, an XP2/XP3 would have been good, but those are all gone.

GAHHHH. I wish I would have read this sooner. Called my local Petsmarts, and they are all sold out. Would have LOVED another XP3 or an XP4

Just picked up an XP4 for $50. Geeze, this thing is huge. For those of you who scored one, how long did it take you to get the **** flexible hose onto the tubes? I spent 15 minute getting it on the first tube and gave up after I got at least 1" on the tube.

if you put the end of the hose in hot/boiling water for a minute or so, you'll find it's much more pliable and easy to slide over the barbs.

An xp4 for 50 bucks is a great deal, congrats. I have three, and the cheapest I got them for was 160 something I believe

$57 in the Petsmart here for an XP4. I have to admit, I am tempted to pick one (or more up) and flip them on eBay. I imagine you could sell them on there for $120 or so, and come out about $50 in profit after eBay fees.
