i got 2 goldfish today 1 rybunkin 1 oranda they are probably 2 inches long from tip to tip ... there in my 29 high with a bristle nose being transplanted in there tomorrow:) i was wondering if there might be a chance of them cross breeding ( the goldies that is) i startedout with goldies when i was little no that i have the know how i think it would be pretty cool to breed sum goldies.... will the males still get the tubes on there gills even if there isnt a female in the tank with them? i have to say they look ABSOLUTLEY GOREGOUS on the black gravel :thm:

Both ryukin and oranda are still the same species goldfish so they will still crossbreed. Tubercles are an indication of spawning season so the tubercles will not appear unless spawning season is triggered by the females who start releasing pheromones which attract the males to them.
