middle of no where!
Hi,
I really like the saddle Valentini puffers and was wondering if one will be ok with my cleaner shrimp. Does anyone have this combination in their tanks? Let me know how it works or if you know they will be ok together. Thanks!

From everything I've heard, a puffer will eat shrimp and other inverts. I had a great Hawiian Spotted Puffer, but gave him up so I could put a good cleaner group in my tank. he really limited my choices on what could go in. Their teeth and jaws are designed to crush shells, in fact, if they do not have the right food, thier teeth can grow too long.

I was wondering how important it is to have a cleaner shrimp in a 29g tank? I could take my shrimp back to work and get the puffer instead, but am I going to have to worry about the shrimp with my other fish. I have 2 clown fish, 2 Banggaii cardinals, and an orange spotted shrimp goby. Can the puffer go with those fish? Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it.

While I had mine, i had no issues with other fish. The biggest problems are with inverts and puffers. I have a cleaner shrimp and I love it. IT is very active with lots of personality! My Domino and Potters Angel are always at it getting cleaned! My suggestion for you is if you really like the puffer, I would get it, just know you have to be limited with your inverts.
