Just running through the posts again, allot of good points on both sides, rent for a mall shop is WAY HIGH, I know in a crap hole town like Ottumwa it;s 2500 bucks a month i do believe.....
And as for less informed LFS, we hae to have the worst one here, she has her 13 year old girl working int here, and a few other younger kids, all but two know there butt from a hole in the ground......the lady that owns it aint to **** bright either....
Most LSF, will tell you anything to make a sale, why do you think people end up with and oscar in a ten gallon tank for instints........they don;t care what happens as long as people believe what they say.
I kow of a few that are reg in a chat i visit that work in or own shops, and they flat out ask the buyers this and that, and have refused a sale because people don;t have a clue on the fish they want to buy......
Just like fish mixing, people buy a fish and then come to the caht and ask, Why did my new fish Eat all my other fish in the tank,,,,the LFS told me they would be ok together,,,,,back to the making a sale once again,,,,,,they know your going to bring the fish back and buy something else.........
Just the circle of the fish hobby to make a buck,,,that's about al it is......
