I'm having a dilemma. MY Oscar tank is still under the grip of some hair algea. not enough to be a big problem but enough to drive me Knutts most days.
I have seen Thai flying Foxes full grown and am confident they would be fine with my cichlids. I have not seen true Sae's full grown and don't know how they would fare. My cichlids are juveniles, and the tank is heavily planted with lots of nooks and crannies. Would either a couple of Thai Flying foxes or a couple of SAE's be O.K. or is this just wishfull thinking. I am worried of course about the long term health of the algea eaters, not my other fish. and do have other tanks they could go in if a problem arose. but would rather not shoot myself in the foot. My Oscar and Demsey don't go after anything bigger than1.5 inches yet, but I don't want to make things too tempting for them.
