Besides silicone (with no mildew retardants), what's safe?

Have read that super glue is okay. I've read a bunch of material safety data sheets, and super glues all seem to contain 60-100% cryanolacrylate plus other ingredients (thickeners, etc.) that aren't always identified. Recommendations for specific brands/products would be greatly appreciated!

What about the sticks used in hot glue guns? According to Wikipedia, "Hot adhesives, also known as hot melt adhesives, are simply thermoplastics applied in molten form (in the 65-180 C range) which solidify on cooling to form strong bonds between a wide range of materials."

I use superglue gel all the time for coral frags, its perfectly safe for aquarium use. the gell is easier to deal with than the regular stuff. It will even cure fine underwater. Never tried anything but 100% silicone and superglue gel.

I have used---Silicone, Super glue (gel) and Epoxy W/O any problems. Others I have no experience with.

I use Gorilla Glue brand of SuperGlue or GE I Window and Door 100% Silicone.

I have found the Gorilla Glue brand to do very well in underwater applications.

Superglue for small jobs, 2-part (twin tube syringe) epoxy if I need a larger amout smeared around for additional support.
