Sand in a goldfish tank?

Probably, but if you can find the Estes' I would go with that.

Has anyone used 3M Colorquartz as a substrate with GF's? I'm hoping to finish my new tank sometime in January and the 3M stuff is looking good so far.

My goldies love to move the gravel around - they are always cleaning,moving, and any number of other things with the stone. would never think of doing sand in their tank.

We got the sand! She put it in her 30 gal with the new fish she also got (named Walter.. lol) This weekend we're going to start working on ithe 80 gal (gathering rocks & such) if you wanna see it, keep checking the "Your tank before and after" thread

I threw some sand in I picked up with a bottle on the beach in Santa Monica. Stayed on the bottom, fish digs it, all seems well...
