Sand plants?

Pretty much any plant will work in sand. My 75 is sand and had stems, swords, crypts. I've progressed into a different type plant setup but they all did great. I still have some of each in my tank.

But I'd say the best plants for sand are stems, rhizomes and floaters. If you use heavy root feeders like swords or crypts just add root tabs.

You can see my tanks progression in the thread linked in my signature.

my dwarf sags and pygmy vals love it any kind of runner type do better ith sand as long as it isn't planted to deep..

I found that any plant I've grown does better in sand especially hair grass and anything with runners. I used to use root tabs for heavy root feeders but since I stopped I find no difference in plant growth.
