Sand sifting Stars

Well I have 2 Sand sifting stars and one is ALOWAYS on top of the other, Anyone know what the hell they are doing. They are perfectly lined up and the one just seems to ride on top of the other

No idea, but, sand sifting stars are generally a no no if your goal is to have a deep sand bed full of life.
