I've been spending weeks cleaning my sand cause of some wierd disease my tank got a while back.
The sand has been sitting in a bucket with a water/bleach mix. Daily, I use a potatoe bag, and fill a little bit of sand, and run water through it to get rid of the bleach.
now my question. I will have about 4 inches of sand in my tank. The sand has asome crushed coral in it already. Seeing how I have to go through all the sand anyway, should I strain the sand and take out all the crushed coral in it? I read another post that suggested it might not be a good idea to have CC in the tank, but feelings are mixed when it comes to this. Can anyone give me some advice?
When and if I do take out the cc, can I use it for something else? Maybe the fuge? or is it pretty much wasted??
Thanks for your help /
