Does anyone know if these are fish safe? I got a 133 liter on wheels yesterday for water changes. In general it seems that rubbermaid products are fish safe, but I'm not sure if this brand is treated with a chemical or something similar.
No clue but I woudl say to fill it up let it sit for a week or so and test the water. If you really want to eb sure you can get a feeder goldfish adn sacrifice him for the sake of other fishes to see if he can live in the water for a few days.
Some Rubbermaid products are food and fish-safe. They are HDPE and use only food-safe dyes. Not all Rubbermaid products are food/fish safe, even certain colors of the HDPE stuff is not suited due to the colors..
Find the manufacturer's web site or contact them by other means and ask if the product you have is food-safe. If it is nor, don't use it.
I e-mailed scepter on the same day I made this stopic and still have not received a reply. I think I may have to send them another, perhaps my e-mail went somewhere else.
