School of little Tiger Barbs + what else?

I have 40G

planted tank. Right now I have 5 setrbay corries / 1 oto and 9 small tiger barbs.

What else I can add to make it more interesting?

Sounds like a good stocking level. Add food, they will grow and fill up that tank.

Those 9 samll tiger barbs will turn into 9- 2.5 to 3 inch tiger barbs in a very short time! I thin as glabe said, if you wanted to add a few color variants...but to be honest I wouldn't add many!

Don't know how I missed that. I was going to say Tiger barbs are a good choice if, they're the only choice. Seriously, your options are few in a tank that size. A Red tail shark and maybe 3 Pictus catfish would be what I'd try.Oh, and a pleco with some size to replace the Otocinclus.

What is wrong with me? I suggested catfish when you already have some. Anyway, go with the shark.

You can just add 3-4 more Tigers and just be happy.

Or MAYBE add a smaller school of another barb or Tetra.
