in a petland mislabeled with jack dempseys. i was like "oh ill take that one' knowing exactly what it was.


it will grow out in my 40 breeder with the parrot and knife. 125 coming for xmas.

those fish are soooooo beautiful.
 
Looks like a Texas cichlid or possibly a hybrid.

well regardless it has nice pearls and such. i will raise it and see what is to come. looks like i was the one that was had lmfao
 
All I can say - it isn't a JD... it is a beaut, though.
 
Wow, I wonder what it is? Definitely pretty though, and not a JD. I agree it looks to have some Texas in it, but it's not a pure Texas....keep us updated with pics as he grows so we can figure out what he is!
 
Still a great looking fish, Syddakyd. Post pics of it again in a few months when it has grown...if you plan to keep it, of course. It may be a Texas/Jag mix.
