Can "screw in" florecent light bulb be put into hoods that had incandecent bulbs? If so where can i find these? I looked on BigAls site, but didnt see any. A link to a site would be great.

Thanks for your help

how many of them are you putting on what sized tank? a 10 watt PC isnt going to help a lot as far as your lighting goes. you wil get a much better color and look to the tank, but i personaly wouldnt recomend keeping many corals.

Still won't be quite enough..I have 2.3 watts per gallon and I'm limited on what I could keep. Smaller PC systems made for aquariums aren't that expensive and they give you the wattage you need.

You can also look at your local home improvement stores for higher wattage pc bulbs for incandescent sockets, but keep in mind your limited by the existing hood's socket (wattage rating). Don't want to start any fires!

how do those light strips fit onto the aquarium? Is it suppose to just sit on top like a hood? Do you pick a size that is the same length and width or ur aquairum?

THanks

some jsut sit on top. most have legs to stand up off of the tank. and yes, they come in all standard aquarium sizes.
what are the dimentions of your tank?

im not sure what size yet, im still in my pre-plannin faze. I like to know all i can find out before starting my nano reef, so i dont run into to many surprises.

Thank you guys for all your info.
