Sea Salt Comparison

I presently use Petco Premium Salt for my FOWLR tank. I have been having trouble with my parameters. My nitrates seem to be always at 20 ppm. My friend tells me that Petco brand sea salt is made by a subsidiary of Kent that goes by the name of Aquatic Gardens (previously Catalina).

Can anyone offer any advice or insight concerning this?

I've seen a few charts and tables comparing various salt mixes but nothing that showed nitrates.

Personally I wouldn't use any petco branded stuff. But the trates are probably coming for somewhere other then the salt.

I do use Kent Reef Salt currently and my trates are 0.

Agree that the issue is probably not from the salt. I use instant ocean, normally all zeros.

I will be switching to esv salt shortly.
