As my last topic indicated, I have recently come into possession of a new 125-gallon aquarium. However, I am unfamiliar with the equipment and unsure how to set it up. I found someone to do it for me, but it will be on Monday and will cost $75.

With that much time, I'd might-as-well attempt to do it myself. It has 4 holes drilled in the bottom and a boxed-in corner (somethings seems to go in there). Under the stand, there is the pump motor and a plastic box with valves. Of course, a protein skimmer is also included.

Since all my critters are now crowded into a 29-gallon tank, it would be better if I could get my tank setup and cycling before Monday. Does anyone know where to find detailed instuctions on how to do this?

Some pics of your exact equipment would help a great deal in getting you all the right info. If you can do that I would be glad to help!!!

Two of the holes are for water draining to the sump (the plastic container) and two are for the return. You can buy stand pipe kits from fish stores or make them yourself for the drain. The returns can be made as well. You need bulkheads to go in the holes and your pipes connect to them. It might be easiest on your first shot to buy the kit. After that you plumb the lines to and from the sump with potable water tubing. Definitely buy this at Home Depot and save a little money.

Pictures WILL help get a more detailed response.
