I was just wondering if there are any plants that can go in a tank with a severum, 2 parrots, 3 rainbowfish, and an african leaf fish?

I tried a sword plant and this is what happened: Within 2 weeks someone had put a hundred holes in my plant (back left hand side of pic) and I think it was my severum. Any plant that would work would have to be low to medium light. I do not use ferts or C02 but maybe I will start if I can find some plants that my fish won't eat. My sword was growing nice before I added the severum. Any ideas? or do I have to stick with fake plants with the fish I have?

Thanks,

Barb

Severums are notorious plant munchers. Try the old standbys. Bolbitis, Anubius, Onion bubls, Java Fern. All are bitter to the taste and very few fish consume. Also, most fish consume plant leaf from the outter leaf edge into the core of the leaf. You may have fert issues. Anyone else want to comment on this?
