Hi all,
One of my Serverus has developed some kind of growth on the bottom of the inside of her mouth this past week and I am not quite sure what it is. I have not found anything similar to this on the net and why I am posting here.
Tank paramters are good.
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 20
PH 7.0
She is about 2 years old and 10 inches long and has stopped eating the past couple days. I have tried to put food in front of her but she just swims away. This is what I am worried about because she and my other Severum are the ones right up front when I feed them.
Her mouth is open constantly so she can breath I suppose. All the other fish in the tank are ok so far.
I have put Melafix in the tank thinking it is some kind of bacteria infection. Any other suggestions to use?
Today it is less red but still about the same size when I first noticed it. It just seemed to have appeared over night. I have checked multiple times and it is not something stuck in her mouth and no missing fish.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
