So I've got two severums. The one I believe to be male (larger, more patterned on the head, longer dorsal and anal fins) seems pretty intent on digging himself a little hole in the gravel. Meanwhile, the other one (which I believe to be female based on comparison to the male) seems content to pick at a piece of driftwood most of the time. Every couple minutes, she takes a break from her picking to go check out progress on the male's little pit. Whenever she's near that area of the tank, she gets really intensely striped. When she's elsewhere, she looks normal. This started about 4 or 5 days ago, but resumed with much greater intensity after today's water change.
Dare I ask if he's playing the "honey, how do you like THIS house?" game and this is her way of saying "oh yes darling, I could totally see this as a nursery!"?
