erm...i posted on here about my friend wanting to start a guppy tank, well, yesterday she went out and brought all she needed, 36x12x16 tank, hood, lighting, sand, filter, heater and test kit. she set it up using one of my filter pads from my fully cycled tank and some of my sand and left it up and running over night. today she went shopping, and not just for a few fish to get started,oh no,she didnt wait for me,she just went out and has returned with 3 large bronze corys, and 16 guppies!!! not only that, but she has 7males and 9 females, all of which look very very pregnant to me :eek3: looks like my angel is going to get plenty of live food :grinyes: she has already seen 3 fry in the tank and theyve only been in there for a few hours,so im guessing one dropped as soon as it was put in! will this set up be ok? theres already quite a bit of poop on the floor, not much of a wonder but hey,but she knows to keep up with the weekly water changes once its cycled and to keep and eye on her water parameters daily until cycled. all the fish look healthy, and are very very active, she has loads of fake plants and 1 live plant in there, its just hornwort i think. the tank is set up at 82*, i think this may be a bit high but the fish seem more than happy in there, she has also added 2 tablespoons of aquarium salt to the tank, which she dissolved in hot water first. im trying to help her out and give her advice but she seems somewhat impatient! im just keeping my fingers crossed it all works out for her
