Shipping shrimp internationally

What type of shrimp...I would think it would matter.

Not only do you have to take into account US laws but also remember to check France's. You would hate to have your shrimp make it across the ocean only to find out that the country doesn't allow them in.

I hadn't checked for france, but had for the generic "europe". What I found out was that it would cost about $47 and still take a good 5-7 days (for international priority/express). I decided that was too risky to do it and way to costly to make it worthwhile (I was looking into shipping cherry shrimp).

On the USPS site, for Global Express for France, it said that you can't import "live plants or animals". Are fish considered animals? How do people like Ryan at planetinverts ship internationally?

Can of worms...

I didn't know what you are talking about so I googled PI and it's so sad. I don't want this thread to turn into talking about PI, I just want to say I hope everything works out for everyone.

As much as I hate eBay fees, it's a good place to unload extra shrimp where it's reasonably safe for both buyer and seller.
